All About John

John Willis was born in Manila, Philippines to Norma and Julius. When he was six years old, he immigrated with his mother to San Francisco reuniting with his older brother and father. The family of four remained together in San Francisco for 12 years and eventually moved to Ardenwood, Fremont where John graduated from Kennedy High School. Immediately after, he joined the Marines.

During his service, he was stationed in various locations from San Diego to Desert Storm, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. After his seven years in the military, John started a career in IT following his father's footsteps. He now works at Stanford University. Currently, John spends his days with his son from his first marriage, plays ultimate frisbee, and enjoys biking.
