All About Beckie

Beckie Cheung was born in Portland, Oregon to Marian and Joe Cheung. Two years later, Christine joined the trio. The family of four eventually moved to Fremont, California after living one year abroad in China and one year in Foster City, CA. In Fremont, she attended Irvington High School and was a member of the swim team.

Immediately after, she moved to study at UC Davis majoring in psychology and a minor in communications. She took part in several groups including Rape Prevention Education Program, Peer Counselors in Sexuality, and the National Research Center on Asian American Mental Health.

Realizing kids were fun, she obtained her teaching credential at Cal State Hayward (currently known as Cal State East Bay) and a Masters in Elementary Education at San Jose State University. She has been a fourth grade teacher at Pioneer Elementary, Union City since 2002. Her hobbies include teaching, cooking, and travel.
